Versed Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 2, 2026

Who runs Versed

Versed is an iPhone app. It limits the apps you choose, and you earn time back by answering study questions.

Versed is run by John Gibson.

Questions about this policy: support@useversed.com.

The short version

What your account stores

Versed uses a service called Supabase to run its accounts. When you create an account, Supabase stores the following for Versed:

If you sign up with email, you also choose a password. Supabase uses it to confirm it is you when you sign in.

Versed uses this information to run your account, to bring your settings back when you sign in on another iPhone, and to give you Pro when you have paid for it. Versed does not use it for ads, and does not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

What stays on your iPhone

Versed does not send any of this to its servers.

Paying for Versed Pro

Apple handles all payments for Versed Pro. Versed never receives your card or bank details.

When you buy Pro while signed in, Versed adds your account ID to the purchase. This lets Apple's records show which Versed account the purchase belongs to.

Your iPhone then sends Versed's server the purchase's transaction number, and no payment details. The server asks Apple to confirm the purchase. It checks Apple's live store first, then Apple's test store, which test versions of Versed use. It then saves your purchase record.

Apple also tells Versed's server when a subscription renews, ends or is refunded. The server checks with Apple and updates your purchase record.

Deleting your Versed account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple account settings. The steps are on the Support page.

Who else handles your information

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. It has no cookies, scripts or analytics. Cloudflare may keep basic technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

How long we keep information

We keep your account information while you have an account.

When you delete your account, your account and the information stored with it are removed from Versed's database right away, including your sign-in sessions. The exceptions are explained below.

If you used Sign in with Apple, a background job then asks Apple to end Sign in with Apple for Versed, using the locked key described above. It runs every five minutes and keeps trying for up to 30 days. If Versed cannot finish this step, Versed's Deletion recovery screen says so and links to Apple's instructions, so you can end it yourself.

For this step, Versed keeps three things for a short time:

A short deletion record is kept so the app can show whether deletion finished. Deletion finishes right away if you did not use Sign in with Apple; otherwise it finishes when the Sign in with Apple step is done. Once deletion has finished, the record no longer includes your account ID. The record is removed 30 days after deletion finishes, so at most about 60 days after you delete.

If you delete your account while Pro is still active, a new Versed account on the same Apple ID can take over the subscription. Versed then keeps a scrambled code made from the deleted account's ID with the new account's purchase record, so the subscription cannot be taken over twice.

Backups: Supabase keeps daily backups of Versed's database for 7 days, so a deleted account can remain in a backup for up to 7 days.

Sign-in records and logs: Versed's database keeps no sign-in records after an account is deleted. Supabase keeps its technical logs, which can include IP addresses, for 7 days.

Support emails: kept for up to 1 year, then deleted.

Deleting your account

  1. In Versed, open Settings and tap More tools.
  2. Tap Delete account.
  3. Tap "I'm sure, delete my account".
  4. Pick a reason, then tap "Delete my account".

The reason you pick stays on your iPhone. It is not sent to Versed.

To delete your account from Versed's servers, you need to be signed in and online. If you are signed out, this clears Versed's information from your iPhone, but it does not delete your account. Sign in first to delete it.

After the server confirms, Versed turns off its app blocking for your account and clears your account's information from your iPhone. If the connection drops, your account may already be deleted, and Versed clears your iPhone either way.

To check a deletion request saved on your iPhone, open Settings, tap More tools, then tap Deletion recovery.

You can also ask us to delete your account by emailing support@useversed.com.

Children and teens

Versed is not meant for children under 13.

Teens aged 13 to 17 may use Versed.

If you believe a child under 13 has made a Versed account, email support@useversed.com and we will delete it.

No ads, tracking or analytics

Versed contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting tools of its own. It does not use your device's advertising identifier, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Crash reports from Apple

Your iPhone can share crash reports and app statistics with app developers if you turn that on. If you do, Apple may give the developer of Versed crash reports and statistics about how Versed is used. Apple says it collects this information anonymously.

You can change this at any time in the Settings app, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.
